I've always had a deep empathy for others — understanding why people think and act as they do, and being trusted with their stories, has guided my life and work.
This foundation led me into the helping professions, where I earned a B.A. in Psychology and an M.A. in School Counseling, and spent twelve years as a middle-school counselor supporting adolescents, young adults, and their families.
Through continued doctoral coursework and certifications in mindfulness and family trauma, I've deepened my expertise — but my passion remains in direct service. Most recently in a community mental health center and a remote Intensive Outpatient Program, where guiding others toward their most authentic, empowered selves continues to be the most meaningful part of my work.
