Services

I believe everyone can benefit from a judgment free space to process themselves, their environment, and how to reach their full potential. I offer solution-focused, actionable strategies to improve overall wellness in individuals feeling well enough to embark on the journey. In my role, I specialize in stress management, goal acquisition, and empowering individuals to break free from negative patterns. Helping you achieve your short-term goals while paving the way for long-term success through mindful self study, connecting resources, and building a cash of strategies to combat barriers to success will define our work together. My approach is highly personalized. While our work will be informed by my experience and training, I will be most attuned to uncover the very unique way we will together find to support you. My mission is to help you transform into the best empowered helper for yourself.

The most important aspect of my approach is personalization. I will help you reveal that you are the best person to uncover what you need. In addition to personalization, cohesion is the next most important variable in success. You may already have support from a doctor, therapist, psychiatrist, school counselor, teacher, and/or parent. Each person may provide a different resource and be attuned to one or more facets of you. I assist you in getting all your supports on the same page offering what works best for you and providing connection and consistency to help you flourish. With that in mind there are some strong influences on what I will offer as a starting place for that discovery.

Person-centered Psychology

Person-centered theory resonates with my core values in the coaching relationship. This manifests in my providing a judgment free space for self-exploration where you are met with unconditional positive regard. I believe in your agency to create change and growth.

Mindfulness

“Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and non judgmentally.” – Jon Kabat -Zinn

Anything that links a perception and sensation is an exercise in mindfulness. Grounding and centering techniques, distinguishing past and present, trying to stay present, regulating or practicing regulating yourself are central features of this approach. This focus allows us to learn how to get comfortable being a little uncomfortable, and how to use the connection of our mind and body to improve wellness.

Solution-Focused Approach

A solution-focused approach is really a marriage of these concepts. We will focus more on solutions than the issues we are trying to address. We will draw on skills and support that you have and make them work more efficiently for you in a goal oriented way.

Positive Psychology

Introduction to Positive Psychology by founder Martin Seligman

In general, positive psychology includes exercises to increase awareness of positivity, reflecting on past positivity and success, exercises to increase positive emotion, expressing gratitude, visualizing yourself at your absolute best, counting kindness or reflecting on ways you have helped others small and large, and cultivating strengths.
